ok you probably seen that im boosting the sohc right now. but as i said when i come back from the desert ill have plenty of skrilla saved up to do my swap. now i wanted to go all out and do something like this guy on this civic forum im on. he swaped a k20a2, fully built, and its boosted at 24psi putting down 520whp and 360 ftlbs.
now the question is should i go that route (he spent like 16g on everything and he had the swap done)
or do something else like k24 bottom with k20a2 head NA or boosted?
what do you guys think, i know theres endless amounts of things i could do but im looking to put down alot of power. i just wanna see some ideas...
the turbo K swap is dope, but he spent 16K on it. guess what?
When its time to sell and move on. he is going to have part the car out. cause he wont get over 10-12K for a EM2 civic. I dont know though, its really up to you. Personally if imma spend 16K i think i would go on H-t and find one of the clean ass EKs or DC2s especially from EKsquad with K swap done, wheels done, suspension done and buy theres and keep the EM2 as the daily grinder to work. Its easier to sell a clean ass EK than a EM2. just im opinion.
but say you want to go K and like **** it. If you going to do it. you can swap the K24/k20 and boost that ****. That is a monster. **** you can get the k24 sleeve bore out to like ****in 96mm or something, pistons, rods, k20 head, and boost that ****!!! oh my goodness. but does a FWD need that much power 400+?
yea i know what your sayin, i might think about buyin a second car. keep the em2 for my dd. but then you dont really see too many high power em2's out there you know. i would just love to roll up next to some 12 second car and then just smoke the **** out of them. haha, yea the guy with that k20 em2 was runnin 11.5 at first then he replaced the cluthc cause it was slippin and got some better slicks and he was runnin low 10's
I say find a K-Swapped car and call it a day, that is with an all motor setup. If you plan to boost your current car, then there shouldn't be a need to boost the other one. Either or, I would leave one of them NA.
You don't have to do all the leg work and ****, and finding other little bits here and there. Just be sure to find a nicely done K-swapped engine.
