i can understand what you mean man, you wanna go fast now but really dont want to spend the money on something you are gonna end up getting rid of later.

my suggestion to you is if you are going to buy all these parts now just start over with a new project when you get back i.e. ek setup or a dc setup or even something off the wall different like rwd maybe, i mean its not a matter of not having the money later. just hate to see you waste your money on something you could have put forth on your intended project.

just a suggestion, take it as you like

i was lookin at your list of parts and you have "missing link and e-manage". in my honest opinion i wouldnt even bother with either of those 2. i would either sell the e-manage and missing link and get hondata or some other form of tuning. i had the missing link on my turbo da9 and it sucked. missing links are for half ass jobs, and with the setup that you are about to get you dont want to half ass anything. take it from me do it right the first time or spend alot of time fixing what you could have done right in the beginning. aint that right lamont

if you think that you are gonna go k-series when you get back then why waste time boosting you motor that you have now. that 3200 that you are about to spend could be used on your future swap or maybe after the swap tuning(believe me it is not cheap). i just think that it is a bad idea. i say save the money, you are getting depoyed so you are gonna stack some cheese. i mean who knows while you are gone something new may come out that catches your eye. save the money and wait until you return and good luck on whatever you decide.

thanks guys, im actually not gonna boost it because it would be a waste of money. so right now im just gonna fix up the civic so once i get back its ready for the swap. gotta fix up my exterior, some new interior. then some more suspension work. then swap it when i get back.

sound like a sound plan, build up that suspension and start auto x'ing. then when you swap you will somewhat know what your cars capabilities are.

well i checked password and they dont really got anything, but i went to neuspeed and they got front upper and lower and rear lower tie bars they look good. http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_list.asp?app=47|CV&type=12&ltype=ns_import

maybe you could get better tires depending on what you got now. http://www.nittotire.com/tires_nt01.asp

bushings will help as well, energy suspension has some but not all of the bushings feel free to check it out http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/hon1.html

progressive actually makes a rear sway bar kit, that also includes a lower tie bar. i havnt looked for it in a while i forgot pricing on it.

i wanted to get the nt01's but i heard it rains alot up here in WA and i dont think those would do so good on wet roads. right now i just have some yokohama paradaspec2. i would need something that would do good on dry road and still be able to keep me on the road in the wet.

bushings would work. i have the motor mount inserts from energy suspension. so ill look into that.

thanks for the help

dont get the progressive the will cause clunking noise and rip your rear crossmember i know which one you are talking about there is a post on h-tech about them. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1594836  well i cant find the thread with the results from the progressive sway lower tie combo tearing the rear substructure but i know its there i just gotta search more. i recommend getting separate units if available because sway bars move completely different than a tie bar would causing the substructure to tear or elongate the mounting holes.

example: sway bars are torsional as in they counter act the lateral rotation of the vehicle

tie bars counter act flexing in the substructure in and out movement of the lower structure of the vehicle.

as far a good wet dry tire try the neo gen the are good all around i had them on my audi and they were great. http://www.nittotire.com/tires_neogen.asp
