As can be expected… Flavor Flav is planning to release his debut solo rap record.
Why not capitalize off the success of VH1's runaway hit reality show 'Flavor of Love'?
According to publicist Jonathan Wolfson, the former Public Enemy hype-man will release the self-titled opus on Oct. 31, via his very own Draytown Records.
"I got some things off my chest, but not all," Flav said about the long-awaited project, which will be distributed by North Carolina's Redeye Distribution.
The first single will be a rock-rap fusion track titled "Flavor Man."
Wolfson confirmed that the Roosevelt, Long Island native (legally known as William Jonathan Drayton Jr.) plays "virtually all the instruments, co-writes some of the music and lyrics" on the album, which feature collaborations with Smooth B. and Collition.
I don't know who any of those people are.
Am I just being "glib"? Like Matt Lauer?
"I doubt I will ever do another one, though," he added. "What I'm gonna do is make this one a collector's item. My first and only solo album, ever."
Maybe some of the star-struck and attention-hungry contestants from 'Flavor of Love' will appear on the album.
I'll buy it just to hear Miss New York talk trash.
